By 3:00 a.m. NST Friday low 978 mb located over the northern
Grand Banks.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:55 AM NST 21 January 2021 An intensifying low pressure system southwest of the Grand Banks willtrack across the Grand Banks later today. Gale to storm force east to
northeasterly winds ahead of the low will shift to storm to hurricane
force west to northwesterlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that a hurricane force wind warning is
in effect for Southwestern Grand Banks. Storm warnings are in effect
for Northern Grand Banks and Southeastern Grand Banks. Gale warnings
are in effect for South Coast, East Coast, Northeast Coast, Belle
Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
