Issued 3:30 PM NST 16 January 2022 Tonight and Monday At 3:30 p.m. NST today low 965 mb located over northeastern Belle
Isle Bank.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Monday departing low 972 mb located near Greenland.

At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight deepening low 995 mb located near Cape
Hatteras.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Monday low 982 mb located over Maine.

At 3:30 p.m. NST today ridge located over the Gulf of Maine.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Monday ridge located over the Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:21 PM NST 16 January 2022 An intense low pressure system over Belle Isle Bank will continue to
move northeast tonight towards Greenland. Gale to storm force
northerlies to southwesterlies will gradually diminish tonight as the
low pulls away.

A second low will approach from the southwest on Monday. Strong to
gale force southeasterlies will develop over southeastern waters
ahead of the low late Monday.

Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Belle Isle Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters
except Strait of Belle Isle - western half and Northeast Gulf.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except South Coast and the Grand Banks.
