the Great Lakes.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Thursday low 974 mb located over northern Quebec.

At 10:00 a.m. NST today building high located south of Laurentian
Fan.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Wednesday high located south of the Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:49 AM NST 27 February 2024 Strong to gale force southwesterlies are forecast to spread over the
district on Wednesday as an intense low pressure system tracks
northeastwards across Quebec while a ridge of high pressure meanders
south of the Grand Banks.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank,
and Funk Island Bank.
