Issued 4:00 AM NDT 13 May 2025 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 4:00 a.m. NDT today low 998 mb located east of Funk Island Bank.By 4:00 a.m. NDT Wednesday quasi-stationary low 993 mb located
southeast of the Marine District.
At 4:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located over central Quebec.
By 4:00 a.m. NDT Wednesday ridge located on a line north-south
over central Labrador.
At 9:30 a.m. NDT Wednesday approaching low 986 mb located over
northern Quebec.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:54 AM NDT 13 May 2025 A low pressure system east of Funk Island Bank will drift furthereastwards away from the district today, and then become nearly
stationary through Wednesday while gradually weakening. Strong to
gale force northwesterlies over much of the district will slowly
diminish as the low moves away and a ridge of high pressure
approaches from the west.
Another low approaching from the west is forecast to track across
Northern Quebec on Wednesday. Strong to gale force southerlies will
develop over northern waters ahead of this system.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Lake Melville.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Mid Labrador Coast, South Labrador Sea, and Northwest
Labrador Sea.
