By 4:00 a.m. NDT Saturday low 976 mb located over Anticosti Island.
At 9:30 a.m. NDT Saturday approaching trough located over the Mid
Marine Weather StatementIssued 4:02 AM NDT 10 April 2020 A low pressure system approaching from the Maritimes will move slowly
northeastward over the Gulf of St. Lawrence tonight and Saturday
while gradually weakening. A second low will form over Northern
Labrador waters late Saturday as the former low weakens. Strong to
gale force east to southeasterlies will develop across the district
ahead of these features. Over the East Labrador Sea the
southeasterlies will reach storm force.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
East Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in effect for South Labrador
Coast, South Labrador Sea and Northwest Labrador Sea.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for South Labrador Coast and Mid Labrador Coast.
