By 4:00 p.m. NST Sunday low 985 mb located southeast of Greenland.
At 4:00 p.m. NST Sunday ridge located over Labrador.
By 9:30 a.m. NST Monday ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over Labrador Sea.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 4:00 PM NST 17 January 2026 An intense low pressure system east of the Labrador Sea will continueeastwards to lie southeast of Greenland by tomorrow. Gale to storm
force northwesterlies to southwesterlies will gradually diminish
through the day Sunday.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
all waters except Lake Melville, where a gale warning is in effect.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all regions with open waters.
