Issued 9:30 AM NST 18 January 2022 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 9:30 a.m. NST today low 979 mb located over southwestern
Labrador.
By 9:30 a.m. NST Wednesday low 979 mb located north of Labrador Sea.

At 9:30 a.m. NST today trough from low located on a line north-south
over northern Quebec.
By 9:30 a.m. NST Wednesday trough from low located on a line
north-south over Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:17 AM NST 18 January 2022 A low pressure system over Southwestern Labrador will move
northeastward to lie near Lake Melville by this evening and over the
Labrador Sea overnight. A trough extending northward from the low
will move eastward across Northern Quebec to lie over the Labrador
Sea by this evening. Gale to storm force southeasterlies will spread
across the district today ahead of the trough, then shift to strong
to gale force northwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
South Labrador Sea and East Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in effect
all remaining waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all regions with open water.
