Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 4:00 PM NDT 26 October 2026 Tonight and Tuesday At 4:00 p.m. NDT today low 971 mb located over the northern East
Labrador Sea.
By 4:00 a.m. NDT Tuesday low 974 mb located over the southern East
Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:50 PM NDT 26 October 2026 An intense low pressure system over the East Labrador Sea will remain
nearly stationary tonight before slowly drifting southward on
Tuesday. Strong to gale force westerlies to the south of the low will
become gale to storm force northwesterlies over most waters on
Tuesday as the low moves southward.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
South Labrador Sea and Northwest Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in
effect for all remaining waters except Lake Melville.
