Issued 4:00 AM NST 28 February 2024 Today Tonight and Thursday At 4:00 a.m. NST today low 992 mb located east of Labrador Sea.
By 4:00 p.m. NST today dissipating low 988 mb located east of
Greenland.

At 9:30 a.m. NST today trough located on a line east-west over
Labrador.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Thursday trough located on a line east-west over
the South Labrador Sea.

At 4:00 a.m. NST today ridge located over Labrador Coast.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Thursday departing ridge located east of Labrador
Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:46 AM NST 28 February 2024 A low pressure system east of the Labrador Sea will continue tracking
eastwards, then dissipate east of Greenland later today. Strong to
gale force west to northwesterlies are expected behind the low as it
moves away.

A trough of low pressure will move over Labrador today, then track
north across the marine district on Thursday. Strong to gale force
southeasterlies will develop ahead of the trough tonight, then shift
to strong to gale force south to westerlies behind it.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Lake Melville.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Labrador Sea.
