By 4:00 p.m. NST Sunday quasi-stationary low 979 mb located north
of Labrador Sea.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:12 PM NST 7 December 2024 A low pressure system over the Northwest Labrador Sea will move tolie north of the Labrador Sea overnight. South to southwesterly gales
to the east of the low will diminish to strong to gale force
southwesterlies as the low departs, while northwesterly gales west of
the low will diminish to strong westerlies.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
North Labrador Coast - north of Saglek, South Labrador Sea -
southeastern half, Northwest Labrador Sea and East Labrador Sea.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Lake Melville, South Labrador Coast, Mid Labrador Coast,
North Labrador Coast - Saglek and south, and South Labrador Sea -
southeastern half.
