By 4:00 p.m. NDT Sunday deepening low 989 mb located east of Funk
Island Bank.
At 4:00 p.m. NDT today quasi-stationary ridge located on a line
northeast-southwest over the North Labrador Coast.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:47 PM NDT 11 April 2026 A low pressure system south of the Grand Banks will track across theGrand Banks tonight and intensify on Sunday east of Funk Island Bank,
where it will remain nearly stationary. Strong to gale force
northwesterly to northerly winds will develop over southern waters
late Sunday as a result of this low.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
South Labrador Coast and South Labrador Sea - southeastern half.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for South Labrador Sea - northwestern half and Northwest
Labrador Sea.
