Wind southwest 20 knots backing to southeast 25 near midnight then increasing to southeast 35 Tuesday morning. Wind increasing to north 55 Tuesday afternoon except southwest 35 over southern sections. Wind increasing to northwest 60 Tuesday evening.

Snow beginning near midnight becoming rain or snow and fog patches Tuesday morning then snow Tuesday evening. Visibility 1 mile or less in snow and in fog patches.

Temperatures minus 5 rising to plus 3 Tuesday afternoon.

Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 4:00 PM NST 23 November 2020 Tonight and Tuesday At 4:00 p.m. NST today ridge located over Labrador.
By 9:30 p.m. NST tonight dissipating ridge located over Labrador.

At 4:00 p.m. NST today deepening low 1005 mb located over Maine.
By 4:00 p.m. NST Tuesday deepening low 974 mb located over
southeastern Labrador.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:50 PM NST 23 November 2020 A deepening low pressure system will approach the marine district
from the southwest on Tuesday and move to lie over the South Labrador
Sea by Tuesday evening. Winds generally increase to strong to gale
force southeasterly to northeasterly ahead of the low then back to
gale to storm force north to northwesterly as it passes.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Lake Melville, South Labrador Coast, Mid Labrador Coast and South
Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except South Labrador Coast and East Labrador
Sea.
