Issued 3:30 PM NDT 24 March 2025 Tonight and Tuesday At 3:30 p.m. NDT today trough located over the eastern Grand Banks.By 3:00 a.m. NDT Tuesday departing trough located east of the
Marine District.
At 3:00 a.m. NDT Tuesday low 1002 mb located over New Brunswick.
By 3:00 p.m. NDT Tuesday low 1002 mb located over western
Newfoundland.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:23 PM NDT 24 March 2025 A trough of low pressure over the Eastern Grand Banks will move eastof the marine district tonight. Strong to gale force west to
northwesterlies behind the trough will diminish as the trough moves
away.
A low pressure system will approach from the Maritimes tonight and
track northeastward across Newfoundland on Tuesday. Strong to gale
south to southwesterlies will develop ahead of the low.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Southwest Coast, South Coast, East Coast, Funk Island Bank, and the
Grand Banks.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast, Belle
Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
