By 8:00 p.m. NST tonight dissipating low 982 mb located over
western Funk Island Bank.
At 3:30 p.m. NST today quasi-stationary low 976 mb located over
Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:25 PM NST 3 March 2021 A low pressure system near the Bonavista Peninsula will continue
northeastward to lie over Western Funk Island Bank this evening where
it will dissipate. Gale force west to southwesterly winds are
expected south of the low.
Meanwhile, a second low pressure system over Southeastern Labrador
will remain nearly stationary for the next couple of days. This low
will cause the strong to gale force west to southwesterly winds to
persist over the marine district tonight and Thursday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
