At 3:30 p.m. NST today low 997 mb located over the Gaspe Peninsula.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Sunday low 999 mb located east of the Grand Banks.
At 3:30 p.m. NST today ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over central Newfoundland.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Sunday dissipating ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over Belle Isle Bank.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:20 PM NST 8 November 2025 A low pressure system south of Greenland will weaken as it moveseastward tonight. Gale force westerlies over eastern waters will
diminish this evening as the low weakens and departs.
Meanwhile, a second low over the Gaspé Peninsula will track eastward
along the South Coast of Newfoundland tonight to lie east of the
Northern Grand Banks by Sunday afternoon. Strong to gale force
southerlies to southwesterlies will develop south of the low tonight
and Sunday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Funk Island Bank, and the Grand Banks.
