At 3:00 a.m. ADT Wednesday Hurricane Teddy 958 mb located at
43.2N 62.6W.
By 3:30 p.m. ADT Wednesday Post-tropical Storm Teddy 965 mb located
at 46.7N 61.1W.

At 3:00 a.m. ADT today weakening ridge located over the Gulf of
St. Lawrence.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:50 AM ADT 22 September 2020 Hurricane Teddy is approaching the southern marine district today.
Strong to gale force winds over southern waters will increase to
storm to hurricane force across southwestern waters this morning with
gale to storm force winds further to the north and east.

Higher than normal water levels will bring large waves and rough,
pounding surf along parts of the Atlantic Coast of Nova Scotia today
and persist into Wednesday morning.

At 3:00 A.M. ADT, hurricane Teddy is located near latitude 37.4 north
and longitude 61.8 west, about 440 nautical miles south of Halifax.
Maximum sustained winds are estimated at 85 knots and central
pressure at 956 MB. Teddy is moving north at 22 knots.

Marine interests are advised that hurricane warnings are in effect
for Georges Bank, West Scotian Slope, Sable, and East Scotian Slope.
Storm warnings are in effect for Lurcher, Browns Bank, southwestern
shore, LaHave Bank, eastern shore, Fourchu, Banquereau, Laurentian
Fan, and Cabot Strait - southern half. Gale warnings are in effect
for all remaining waters except Chaleur-Miscou-western half.

Marine interests are also advised that high water level warnings are
in effect for Lurcher, southwestern shore and eastern shore. There is
also a possibility of higher than normal water levels along some Gulf
of St. Lawrence regions later today and Wednesday.
