Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:30 PM AST 29 November 2021 Tonight and Tuesday At 3:30 p.m. AST today trough located over the western Marine
District.
By 3:00 a.m. AST Tuesday intensifying trough located from East
Scotian Slope to the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

By 3:30 p.m. AST Tuesday trough located from the Grand Banks
to Labrador.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:14 PM AST 29 November 2021 A trough will move across the region to lie from the East Scotian
Slope to the Gulf of St. Lawrence overnight. Strong to gale force
south to southeasterlies ahead of the trough become strong to gale
force northwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
regions except Fundy, Grand Manan, Northumberland Strait - western
half, Chaleur - Miscou and Anticosti - western half.

Outlook for the start-up of the Southwest Nova lobster fishery.

Tuesday..Winds northwesterly 25 to 30 knots becoming westerly 20 to
25 in the afternoon. Seas 2 to 3 metres diminishing 1 to 2 metres.

Wednesday..Wind southwest 10 to 15 knots veering to west 15 to 20 in
the afternoon. Seas 1 to 2 metres.

Thursday..Wind southwest 10 to 15 knots increasing to southwest 25.
Seas 1 to 2 metres increasing to 2 to 3 metres.

Friday..Wind west 25 to 30 knots. Seas 2 to 3 metres.

in the afternoon. Seas 2 to 3 metres diminishing to 1 to 2 in the
evening, except 1 to 2 metres over Grand Manan.
