to East Scotian Slope.
At 3:00 a.m. AST Friday trough located northwest of the Marine
District.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Friday trough located on a line northeast-southwest
over the Maritimes.

Issued 2:32 AM AST 22 January 2026 A trough of low pressure will track eastward across the marinedistrict today. Strong to gale force southwesterlies are forecast
ahead of the trough with strong to possibly gale force winds expected
in its wake tonight and Friday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Lurcher, Browns Bank, Georges Bank, southwestern shore, LaHave Bank,
West Scotian Slope, eastern shore, Sable, East Scotian Slope,
Fourchu, Banquereau, Laurentian Fan and Cabot Strait.
Marine interests are advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all Gulf of St. Lawrence waters.
