Issued 3:30 PM AST 1 March 2021 Tonight and Tuesday At 3:30 p.m. AST today deepening low 991 mb located over the Gulfof Maine.
By 10:00 a.m. AST Tuesday low 966 mb located near Anticosti Island.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:00 PM AST 1 March 2021 An area of low pressure is developing over the Gulf of Maine thisafternoon and will intensify tonight as it moves to lie near
Anticosti Island by Tuesday morning. Winds will increase to gale to
storm force southeasterlies ahead of the low then shift to gale to
storm force northwesterlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Georges Bank, West Scotian Slope, Banquereau, Cabot Strait,
Gulf-Magdalen, Chaleur-Miscou and Anticosti-western-half. Gale
warnings are in effect for all remaining maritime waters. Freezing
spray warnings are also in effect for all waters.
