Grand Banks.
At 3:00 a.m. AST Saturday low 1004 mb located over the East Coast
of the U.S.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Saturday low 990 mb located over New England.
At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over New Brunswick.
By 10:00 a.m. AST Saturday ridge located on a line north-south
over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:41 PM AST 15 January 2021 An intensifying low pressure system east of Laurentian Fan will tracknortheastward across the Southern Grand Banks tonight and then move
east of the Grand Banks on Saturday. Strong to gale force northerly
winds over southeastern waters will diminish on Saturday. Over the
eastern half of Laurentian Fan, storm force northerlies are expected
tonight.
On Saturday morning, a low will develop along the Eastern Seaboard
and track northward, pushing a trough into southwestern waters.
Strong to gale force southeasterly winds will spread across the
marine district ahead of the trough.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Laurentian Fan - eastern half. Gale warnings are in effect for Grand
Manan, Lurcher, Browns Bank, Georges Bank, southwestern shore, LaHave
Bank, West Scotian Slope, eastern shore - western half, Sable -
western half, East Scotian Slope - western half, Banquereau - eastern
half, and Laurentian Fan - western half.
