Issued 3:00 AM NST 29 February 2024 Today Tonight and Friday At 3:00 a.m. NST today intensifying low 970 mb located over
northern Quebec.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Friday low 961 mb located west of Ungava Bay.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today trough from low located on a line north-south
over western New Brunswick.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Friday trough from low located on a line
north-south over the East Coast of Newfoundland.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today quasi-stationary high located southeast of
the Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:25 AM NST 29 February 2024 A low pressure system over Northern Quebec will lie near Ungava Bay
on today. Meanwhile, a ridge of high pressure southeast of the Grand
Banks will remain nearly stationary. Strong to gale force south to
southwesterlies will spread across all waters tonight between these
two features. Winds will shift to strong to gale force westerlies as
a trough associated with the low sweeps over the district this
evening and Friday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all regions with open water except Southeastern Grand
Banks.
