At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight dissipating low 1000 mb located over the
Strait of Belle Isle.
At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight approaching ridge located south of the
Maritimes.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:52 PM NDT 25 April 2024 A low pressure system over the Labrador Sea will continue to tracknorthward to lie over the East Labrador Sea on Friday. Meanwhile, a
second low pressure system over the Strait of Belle Isle will
dissipate tonight. Strong to gale force south to southwesterlies over
western waters will diminish to light to moderate winds as a ridge of
high pressure builds over the region on Friday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle and Gulf waters.
