Issued 8:00 PM NDT 9 March 2026 Tonight and Tuesday At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight departing trough located on a linenortheast-southwest over Funk Island Bank.
At 3:00 a.m. NDT Tuesday deepening low 990 mb located over western
Labrador.
By 8:00 p.m. NDT Tuesday low 979 mb located northeast of Belle
Isle Bank.
At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight ridge located from Labrador Sea to Belle
Isle Bank.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Tuesday departing ridge located east of the
Marine District.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:45 PM NDT 9 March 2026 A deepening low pressure system over Western Labrador will trackacross Northern Belle Isle Bank on Tuesday before moving northeast of
the region by Tuesday evening. Gale to storm force southwesterlies
ahead of the low tonight will veer to gale to storm force
northwesterlies on Tuesday as it passes.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank and Funk
Island Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for Gulf waters.
Marine interests are also advised that a freezing spray warning is in
effect for Belle Isle Bank.
