Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:23 PM NDT 22 April 2026 A low pressure system over the East Coast of Newfoundland will movenorthwestward to lie over the Quebec Lower North Shore by Thursday
afternoon. A period of strong to gale force northerlies will continue
to the west of its track. Over northern waters winds will diminish as
the system weakens on Thursday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle - eastern half, Northeast Coast, and Belle Isle
Bank.
