Issued 3:43 PM NST 18 February 2026 An intense low pressure system over the Northern Grand Banks willcontinue tracking northeast before lying east of Funk Island Bank
overnight tonight, and slowly drift further out to sea on Thursday.
Gale to storm force northeasterlies ahead of the low will shift to
gale to storm force westerlies to northwesterlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Funk Island Bank and the Southern Grand Banks. Gale warnings are in
effect for all remaining waters except Strait of Belle Isle - western
half, Gulf waters, and Southwest Coast.
