At 3:00 a.m. NST today low 1008 mb located south of Nova Scotia.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Sunday low 998 mb located east of Funk Island Bank.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Sunday approaching trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over southern Labrador Sea.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:45 AM NST 7 December 2019 A low pressure system will track northeastward across the AvalonPeninsula this evening. Strong to gale force southerlies will develop
over the Grand Banks late in the day today.
An intensifying trough of low pressure will approach the marine
district from the Labrador Sea Sunday afternoon. Strong to gale force
northwesterlies will develop over northern waters late in the day on
Sunday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Belle Isle Bank and the Grand Banks.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Gulf, Gulf - Port au
Port and Belle Isle Bank.
