Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 10:00 AM NDT 10 April 2021 Today Tonight and Sunday At 10:00 a.m. NDT today quasi-stationary low 987 mb located
southeast of the Grand Banks.

At 10:00 a.m. NDT today trough located on a line northeast-southwest
over Belle Isle Bank.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Sunday intensifying trough located on a line
northwest-southeast over Newfoundland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:56 AM NDT 10 April 2021 A trough of low pressure extending from the Southeastern Grand Banks
to Belle Isle Bank will move to lie over Newfoundland tonight. Strong
to gale force north to northwesterlies will persist over northern
waters to the west of the trough this morning. Winds will shift to
strong to gale force southeast to northeasterlies behind the trough
as it strengthens into a low pressure system over Newfoundland on
Sunday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, East Coast - north of Cape St.
Francis, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank, Funk Island Bank, and
Northern Grand Banks.
