By 10:00 a.m. NST Wednesday departing low 971 mb located southeast
of Greenland.
At 3:30 p.m. NST today ridge located south of the Marine District.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Wednesday ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over the eastern Grand Banks.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:27 PM NST 13 January 2026 A low pressure system northeast of Belle Isle Bank will continue totrack northeastward farther away from the district tonight and
Wednesday. Gale to storm force northwesterlies to southwesterlies
will gradually diminish over all waters as the low moves away and
weakens.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Belle Isle Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for Strait of Belle
Isle, East Coast, Northeast Coast, Funk Island Bank, Northern Grand
Banks, and Southeastern Grand Banks.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast, and
Belle Isle Bank.
