Issued 10:00 AM NST 2 March 2024 Today Tonight and Sunday At 10:00 a.m. NST today trough located east of the Grand Banks.
By 8:00 p.m. NST tonight departing trough located east of the
Marine District.

At 10:00 a.m. NST today ridge located south of Nova Scotia.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Sunday ridge located south of the Grand Banks.

At 3:00 a.m. NST Sunday approaching low 1003 mb located over
Labrador Coast.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:44 AM NST 2 March 2024 A trough of low pressure east of the marine district will depart
today. Strong to gale force westerlies over most waters will
gradually diminish today as a ridge of high pressure builds eastward
across the marine district.

A low pressure system will approach the marine district from the
northwest on Sunday. Meanwhile, the ridge will become nearly
stationary south of the marine district. Strong to gale force
northwesterly winds will develop over northern waters Sunday evening
between these two features.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Gulf, and Southern
Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all regions with open water except Southwest Coast, South
Coast, and Southern Grand Banks.
