Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 8:00 PM NDT 1 May 2025 Tonight and Friday At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight low 993 mb located off The Bonavista
Peninsula.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Friday quasi-stationary low 1000 mb located
northeast of Belle Isle Bank.

At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight ridge located on a line north-south
over Maine.
By 8:00 p.m. NDT Friday approaching ridge from high located on a
line north-south over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:40 PM NDT 1 May 2025 A low pressure system off the Bonavista Peninsula will slowly track
northeastward to lie northeast of Belle Isle Bank by Friday morning
where it will stall. Strong to gale force westerly to northwesterly
winds are expected in the low's wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle - eastern half, Southwest Coast, South Coast,
East Coast - north of Cape St. Francis, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle
Bank, Funk Island Bank, and Southwestern Grand Banks.
