Newfoundland.
At 3:00 a.m. AST Thursday low 973 mb located over southern Labrador.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:48 AM AST 3 March 2021 A low pressure system over Cabot Strait will track east to lieOver Eastern Newfoundland later today. This low will then merge with
a second low over Southern Labrador this evening and will meander
around Southern Labrador throughout the day on Thursday. Gale to
storm force northwesterlies are expected to diminish slightly today
as the low pulls away from the region. Strong to gale force
westerlies will continue through the remainder of the forecast
period.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
East Scotian Slope, Cabot Strait, Gulf - Magdalen, Chaleur - Miscou
and Anticosti - western half. Gale warnings are in effect for all
remaining maritime waters. Freezing spray warnings are also in effect
for Fundy, Grand Manan, southwestern shore, LaHave Bank, eastern
shore, Sable, Fourchu, Banquereau, Cabot Strait, Northumberland
Strait, Gulf - Magdalen and Anticosti.
