Issued 3:00 AM AST 13 November 2019 Today Tonight and Thursday At 3:00 a.m. AST today cold front from 993 mb low located from
Anticosti Island to West Scotian Slope.
By 3:30 p.m. AST today cold front located east of the Marine
District.

At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight ridge located west of the Marine District.
By 3:30 p.m. AST Thursday ridge located over the Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:52 AM AST 13 November 2019 A low pressure system over Anticosti will track northeastward today
reaching the Labrador Sea by this evening. Strong to gale force
southerly winds ahead of the associated cold front shift to strong to
gale force northwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Fourchu, Banquereau - northern half, Laurentian Fan, Cabot Strait,
Northumberland Strait, Gulf - Magdalen, Chaleur - Miscou, and
Anticosti.

Marine interests are also advised that a freezing spray warning has
been issued for Anticosti.

Outlook for the start-up of the Southwest New Brunswick lobster
fishery.

Thursday..Winds northwest 15 becoming light early in the morning then
increasing to southwest 10 to 15 in the afternoon and south 20 in the
evening. Seas less than 1 metre.

Friday..Winds southwest 20 to 25 knots increasing to southwest 30 in
the morning. Seas 1 metre increasing to 2 in the morning and 2 to 3
in the afternoon. Choppy seas in the afternoon.

Thursday..Winds northwest 15 becoming light early in the morning then
increasing to southwest 15 in the afternoon and southwest 20 in the
evening. Seas 1 to 2 metres subsiding to less than 1 metre in the
morning then building to 1 to 2 metres in the evening.

Friday..Winds south 25 knots increasing to southwest 30 in the
morning. Seas 1 to 2 metres increasing to 2 to 3 near noon. Choppy
seas in the afternoon.
