Issued 9:30 AM NST 8 December 2024 Today Tonight and Monday At 9:30 a.m. NST today quasi-stationary low 976 mb located northof Labrador Sea.
At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight approaching low 1003 mb located over
Prince Edward Island.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:14 AM NST 8 December 2024 A low pressure system north of the Labrador Sea will remain quasistationary until it departs Monday. Strong to gale force west to
southwesterlies will diminish as the low departs.
A second low pressure system will approach the marine district from
the southwest on Monday. Gale to storm force northeasterlies will
develop ahead of the low over southern waters.
Marine interests are advised that a storm force warning is in effect
for South Labrador Coast. Gale warnings are in effect for Mid
Labrador Coast - Hopedale and south, North Labrador Coast - north of
Saglek, South Labrador Sea - southeastern half, Northwest Labrador
Sea and East Labrador Sea.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except South Labrador Sea - northwestern half
and East Labrador Sea.
