By 9:30 a.m. NST Wednesday low 971 mb located southeast of
Greenland.
At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight trough from low located on a line east-west
over Labrador Sea.
By 4:00 p.m. NST Wednesday departing trough located southeast of
the East Labrador Sea.
At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight ridge located over western Labrador.
By 9:30 p.m. NST Wednesday ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over the South Labrador Sea.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:23 PM NST 13 January 2026 A low pressure system northeast of Belle Isle Bank will tracknortheastward to lie southeast of Greenland tonight and Wednesday.
A trough extending from the low will retrograde southwestward across
the Labrador Sea tonight. Gale force northeasterlies to
northwesterlies will gradually diminish tonight or Wednesday as the
low passes to the southeast and the associated trough moves across
the district.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Lake Melville.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all regions with open water except East Labrador Sea.
