Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 9:30 AM NDT 26 October 2026 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 9:30 a.m. NDT today quasi-stationary low 974 mb located over
the East Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:18 AM NDT 26 October 2026 An intense low pressure system over the East Labrador Sea will remain
nearly stationary today and tonight before slowly drifting southward
on Tuesday. Strong to gale force southeasterlies will persist to the
north of the low today while strong to gale force westerlies will
continue to its south. Winds will become gale to storm force
northwesterlies over most waters on Tuesday as the low moves
southward.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
South Labrador Sea and Northwest Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in
effect for all remaining waters except Lake Melville.
