Issued 3:30 PM AST 15 January 2021 Tonight and Saturday At 3:30 p.m. AST today deepening low 992 mb located south ofLaurentian Fan.
By 3:00 a.m. AST Saturday low 972 mb located over the southeastern
Grand Banks.
At 3:00 a.m. AST Saturday low 1004 mb located over the East Coast
of the U.S.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Saturday low 990 mb located over New England.
At 3:30 p.m. AST today ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over Maine.
By 10:00 a.m. AST Saturday ridge located on a line north-south
over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:22 PM AST 15 January 2021 An intensifying low pressure system south of East Scotian Slope willtrack northeastward to lie over the Southern Grand Banks this
evening. Strong to gale force northerly winds are forecast over
southeastern waters as the low approaches. Winds will reach storm
force over the eastern half of Laurentian Fan late this evening.
On Saturday morning, a low will develop along the Eastern Seaboard
and track northward, pushing a trough into southwestern waters.
Strong to gale force southeasterly winds will spread across the
marine district ahead of the trough.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Laurentian Fan - eastern half. Gale warnings are in effect for Grand
Manan, Lurcher, Browns Bank, Georges Bank, southwestern shore, LaHave
Bank, West Scotian Slope, eastern shore - western half,
Sable - western half, East Scotian Slope - western half,
Banquereau - eastern half, and Laurentian Fan - western half.
