Issued 3:21 PM AST 12 February 2026 An area of low pressure just north of Banquereau will continue movingnortheastward to lie north of Newfoundland tonight. Strong to gale
force southwesterlies south of the low shift to strong to gale force
northwesterlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
eastern shore - eastern half, Fourchu, Banquereau, Laurentian Fan,
Cabot Strait, Northumberland Strait - eastern half, Gulf-Magdalen,
and Anticosti.
Marine interest are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Gulf-Magdalen and Anticosti.
