Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:22 AM NST 9 December 2019 A low pressure system north of the marine district will slowly weaken
today. Later today, a ridge of high pressure will build over
Labrador. Strong to gale force westerlies will persist over
northwestern waters between the low and the building ridge.
An east-west trough of low pressure will move north across Labrador
on Tuesday. Strong to gale force east to southeasterlies will develop
ahead of the trough.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
North Labrador Coast, Northwest Labrador Sea and East Labrador Sea -
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except East Labrador Sea.
