Mountains.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Friday approaching trough located southeast of
Labrador Sea.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:42 AM NST 21 January 2021 A weakening trough of low pressure over the North Labrador Coast willslowly depart the district tonight. Gale to storm force easterlies in
the wake of this trough will diminish to moderate to strong
southeasterlies.
Meanwhile, a second trough will approach the district from the
southeast on Friday to lie off the Labrador coast Friday afternoon.
Winds will shift to moderate to strong northerlies ahead of this
trough and reintensify into strong to gale force easterlies in its
wake.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
East Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining
waters except Lake Melville and South Labrador Coast.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for South Labrador Coast and Mid Labrador Coast.
