Lower North Shore.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Saturday deepening low 963 mb located over northern
Belle Isle Bank.
At 9:30 a.m. NST today intensifying trough from 983 mb low located
on a line north-south over central Labrador.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Saturday trough from 963 mb low located on a line
north-south over Labrador Sea.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:17 AM NST 3 December 2021 A low pressure system over the Quebec Lower North Shore will move
northeast to lie over Belle Isle Bank by Saturday morning. Extending
northward from this low, a trough of low pressure will move to lie
over the Labrador Sea by this evening. Strong to gale force
southeasterly winds will develop today ahead of this trough.
Winds will shift to strong to gale force northwesterlies west of the
trough beginning this evening and further increase to storm force on
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
all waters except Lake Melville.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except East Labrador Sea.
