By 9:30 a.m. NST Friday merging low 938 mb located east of Belle
Isle Bank.
At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight deepening low 956 mb located east of the
Grand Banks.
By 9:30 a.m. NST Friday merging low 938 mb located east of Belle
Isle Bank.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:16 PM NST 7 December 2023 A low pressure system over Belle Isle Bank and a second low pressuresystem northeast of the Grand Banks will merge into a deep low
pressure system Friday morning. The resulting low will remain
quasi-stationary southeast of the marine district throughout the
forecast period. Gale to storm force northeast to northwesterly winds
will diminish to strong to gale force on Friday as the lows merge.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Mid Labrador Coast and East Labrador Sea - southeastern half.
Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters except East
Labrador Sea - northwestern half.
