Issued 9:30 PM NST 2 March 2021 Tonight and Wednesday At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight trough located over northern Newfoundland.By 4:00 p.m. NST Wednesday intensifying trough located on a line
east-west over the Mid Labrador Coast.
At 4:00 p.m. NST Wednesday quasi-stationary low 974 mb located
over southeastern Labrador.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:18 PM NST 2 March 2021 A trough of low pressure over Northern Newfoundland will move toLie over Belle Isle Bank by Wednesday morning. An intense low
pressure system will form in the trough and move to lie over
Southeastern Labrador Wednesday afternoon. Strong to gale force east
to southeasterly winds will continue to spread northward across most
waters tonight ahead of this trough. Winds will increase to gale to
storm force east to northeasterlies later on Wednesday as the low
forms and deepens.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
East Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining
waters.
