By 10:00 a.m. NST Thursday departing low 975 mb located over
Labrador Sea.
At 3:30 p.m. NST today ridge located on a line north-south over
Quebec.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Thursday ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over Newfoundland.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:24 PM NST 29 November 2023 An intense low pressure system will pass east of the Avalon Peninsulathis evening and move north of the district on Thursday morning.
Gale force southeasterlies ahead of the low will shift to gale to
storm force westerlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
East Coast - Cape St. Francis and south, and the Grand Banks.
Gale warnings are in effect for South Coast, East Coast - north of
Cape St. Francis, Belle Isle Bank and Funk Island Bank.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, and Belle Isle Bank.
