the Northeast Coast of Newfoundland.
At 10:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located on a line north-south over
eastern Quebec.
By 10:00 a.m. NDT Wednesday ridge located on a line north-south
over the Gulf of Maine.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:45 AM NDT 12 May 2026 An intensifying low pressure system approaching from the south willcross Newfoundland tonight and further deepen as it moves to lie
north of the island on Wednesday.
Strong to gale force southeasterlies will develop to the east of the
track of the low while strong to gale force northwesterlies will
develop to the west of its track. Winds will shift to strong to gale
force west to southwesterlies in the wake of the low.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Gulf waters.
