Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 8:00 PM NDT 22 May 2026 Tonight and Saturday At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight quasi-stationary low 983 mb located south
of Greenland.

At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over the Northeast Coast of Newfoundland.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Saturday departing trough located southeast of
the Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:46 PM NDT 22 May 2026 A low pressure system south of Greenland will remain nearly
stationary throughout the forecast period. Strong to gale force
westerlies to northerlies will diminish from west to east on Saturday
as the low slowly begins to pull away.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except East Coast - north of Cape St. Francis, Northern Grand
Banks, and Southeastern Grand Banks.
