Issued 3:00 AM NST 19 January 2021 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 3:00 a.m. NST today deepening low 990 mb located over the
southwestern Grand Banks.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Wednesday low 972 mb located over eastern Funk
Island Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:43 AM NST 19 January 2021 A deepening low pressure system over the Southwestern Grand Banks
will track northeastwards today to lie over Eastern Funk Island Bank
early Wednesday morning. The low will then track northwestwards
towards the Labrador coast on Wednesday. Strong to gale force
southeast to northeasterlies are expected to the east of the low,
while strong to gale force northwest to southwesterlies are expected
to its west and south.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle - eastern half, Belle Isle Bank, Funk Island
Bank, and the Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, East Coast, Northeast
Coast, and Belle Isle Bank - southwestern half.
