Wind increasing to southeast 30 Saturday evening with gusts to 45 from Margaree Harbour to Bay St. Lawrence.

Flurries ending this afternoon. Snow Saturday afternoon and evening changing to rain and fog patches. Visibility 1 mile or less in snow and in fog patches.

over Cape Breton Island.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight departing trough located over Laurentian
Fan extending southeastward.

At 3:30 p.m. ADT today ridge located on a line north-south over
the Gulf of Maine.
By 3:30 p.m. ADT Saturday departing ridge located on a line
north-south over eastern Newfoundland.

At 10:00 a.m. ADT Saturday warm front located from the Great Lakes
to Browns Bank.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT Saturday warm front located from the St. Lawrence
River to Laurentian Fan.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:29 AM ADT 31 March 2023 A trough of low pressure over the eastern marine district will move
to lie over the Southern Grand Banks this evening. Strong
southeasterlies ahead of the trough become strong to gale force
northwesterlies in its wake. These gales will begin to diminish this
afternoon or evening as a ridge of high pressure approaches from the
west.

On Saturday a warm front will cross the marine district. Winds will
increase to strong southeasterlies ahead of the front and become gale
to possible storm force southwesterlies south of it.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Grand Manan, Lurcher, Browns Bank, Georges Bank, southwestern shore,
LaHave Bank, West Scotian Slope, eastern shore, Sable, East Scotian
Slope, and Laurentian Fan.
