Issued 3:00 AM AST 2 December 2020 Today Tonight and Thursday At 3:00 a.m. AST today low 992 mb located over southern Quebec.
By 3:00 a.m. AST Thursday low 1000 mb located over northern Quebec.

At 3:00 a.m. AST today cold front located on a line north-south
over the central Marine District.
By 8:00 p.m. AST tonight departing cold front located over the
eastern Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:53 AM AST 2 December 2020 A low pressure system over Southern Quebec will continue to track
slowly northward today and push a cold front eastward across the
marine district. Strong to gale force southerly winds ahead of the
front will diminish in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
East Scotian Slope - western half, Banquereau - eastern half,
Laurentian Fan - eastern half, Cabot Strait - northern half,
Gulf-Magdalen, and Anticosti.

Outlook for the start of the southwest lobster fishery.

Today...Winds southwesterly 15 knots increasing to 20 to 25 knots
late this evening. Seas 3 to 4 metres subsiding to 2 to 3 metres near
noon and to near 2 metres in the evening.

Thursday..Winds westerly 20 knots diminishing to southwest 15 in the
afternoon. Seas near 2 metres.

Friday..Winds southwest 20 knots. Seas 1 to 2 metres building to near
2 metres in the evening.
