Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 8:00 PM NDT 22 September 2026 Tonight and Wednesday At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight intensifying low 996 mb located northeast
of the Grand Banks.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Wednesday departing low 970 mb located northeast
of the Marine District.

At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight ridge located over the Gaspe Peninsula.
By 8:00 p.m. NDT Wednesday ridge located on a line east-west over
the southern Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:53 PM NDT 22 September 2026 A low pressure system northeast of the Grand Banks will continue to
intensify as it tracks northeastward tonight. Strong to gale force
north to northwesterlies in its wake will diminish on Wednesday
morning as the low moves away.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Funk Island Bank, Northern Grand Banks, and Southeastern Grand Banks.
