Issued 10:00 AM NST 16 February 2026 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 10:00 a.m. NST today low 1000 mb located over the southwestern
Grand Banks.
By 8:00 p.m. NST tonight departing low 1005 mb located east of
the Grand Banks.

At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight deepening low 993 mb located south of
the Maritimes.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Tuesday low 972 mb located south of Laurentian Fan.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:43 AM NST 16 February 2026 A low pressure system over Southwestern Grand Banks will continue
eastward across the Southern Grand Banks today. Strong to gale force
easterlies to southeasterlies ahead of the low will shift to strong
to gale force northerlies to westerlies in its wake.

A second low pressure system will move off Cape Hatteras today and
deepen as it approaches the marine district from the southwest
tonight. Gale to storm force east to northeasterlies will develop
over southern waters ahead of the low on Tuesday.

Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Southwestern Grand Banks. Gale warnings are in effect for South
Coast, East Coast - Cape St. Francis and south, Northern Grand Banks,
and Southeastern Grand Banks.
