over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Monday trough located on a line northeast-southwest
over Funk Island Bank.

At 3:30 p.m. NDT today ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over Quebec.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Monday ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over Newfoundland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:25 PM NDT 8 March 2026 A trough of low pressure over the Gulf of St. Lawrence will continue
eastward across the marine district tonight to lie over the Funk
Island Bank by Monday morning. Gale to storm force southwesterlies
will continue over the eastern half of the district tonight and
Monday ahead of the trough.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
South Coast, East Coast - Cape St. Francis and south, Funk Island
Bank, and the Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that a freezing spray warning is in
effect for Belle Isle Bank.
