St. Lawrence.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:47 AM NST 9 December 2024 An intensifying low pressure system located over Newfoundland willmove northeastward to lie over Belle Isle Bank tonight, and then
northeast of the district on Tuesday. Gale to storm force
southeasterlies ahead of the low will shift to gale to storm force
southwest to northwesterlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised storm warnings are in effect for Strait
of Belle Isle - eastern half, East Coast, Northeast Coast - Cape St.
John and south, Belle Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank. Gale warnings
are in effect for all remaining waters except Northeast Gulf.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, and Northeast Coast -
north of Cape St. John.
